Brought my friend who visited me here and literally had the best buff wings of my and his life. He had to come back and buy 6 containers of the vegan ranch to take back home with him

I'd often text my roommate, someone in the bar industry "whatcha up to?" and they'd respond "at khyber pass" when they'd finish an earlier shift at their own bar. It's one of their favorite place for beer and SOLID vegetarian meals (both small plates and full bar food). Finally I had a chance to meet them there after their shift-- I can see why they love it! Casual and welcoming with lots of worn wooden furniture, slightly dim lights, and usually some indie or b-film on tv, KPP is "come as you are" to enjoy some good food and a great drink. To celebrate my arrival prophecized arrival, we celebrated with cocktails. I got their Khyber Pantry Plate cause I wanted snacks and was craving pickles! The veggies were crisp and sour in every perfect way. Decently sized plate for $18 but I wish their eggs weren't boiled quite so hard (was a little dry and rubbery) and I'd love a sweet addition like a jam (apricot spread would be great with the mustard!) My roommate even stole a piece of the yummy focaccia to eat along with their favorite tofu sandwich and fries. Can't wait to go back!

Yeah, Khybar is always great. there's nothing better than this spot. You could always say that they are better and more bougie places to go. But Pass just like one of those spots that you have to visit when you go to Philadelphia

A cozy restaurant in Philly, known for their drinks and Poboy. The service is super quick, even with a full restaurant. The waitress always comes to check on you, bringing refills, and asking if we need anything. I mentioned cozy is because although it is a big space the tables are placed too close, and I can hear other people's conversations, and noise level is a bit high. Coming to the drinks, I tried the French Toast toddy, it is an amazing warm drink and a must try, comes in a small cup. They do have a large selection of beers from local and nationwide breweries. Waitresses could make suggestions on what you can choose. From appetizers we tried the Grilled chicken wings and a Pimento cheese dip. Both are made perfectly and delicious. Their Poboys are the best, they serve in half or full. You can easily eat a couple of them easily as they are very tasty and delicious. I would go back for this anytime. Over all great restaurant and bar, highly recommend trying this out if you are in the Philly area.
